1app Recognised for Regulatory Innovation, Financial Inclusion at RegTech Africa Conference

 

Nigerian fintech company, 1app Technologies Inc., has been recognised for its contributions to regulatory innovation and financial inclusion at the 2026 RegTech Africa Conference & Expo held at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The conference, themed “Building Trust, Infrastructure and Policy for a Borderless Africa,brought together policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, technology companies, investors and other industry stakeholders to examine the future of Africa’s digital economy and financial ecosystem.

1app participated in the conference as an exhibitor, where it showcased its growing range of financial solutions aimed at improving access to affordable, secure and borderless financial services for individuals and businesses across Africa.

Among the solutions demonstrated were services that enable users to access USD, EUR and GBP accounts, receive and send money internationally, make cross-border payments, use virtual and physical dollar cards, and convert digital assets into local currencies.

The company said its offerings attracted significant interest from participants, including business leaders, innovators and other stakeholders seeking solutions to some of the barriers limiting access to global financial services.

Beyond its exhibition activities, 1app also contributed to discussions around the future of financial technology and regulation in Africa.

The company’s Executive Director, Dr. Obioha Oti, moderated one of the high-level panel sessions at the conference, which brought together key stakeholders to discuss innovation, regulation and the evolving financial technology landscape across the continent.
